Note: this article is intended to provide guidance for experienced characters playing a new ranger or experienced rangers looking for additional options. If this is your first time playing Guild Wars, please see "Getting started in Guild Wars Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall." Sometimes armed with a bow, sometimes with a hammer, sometimes with a staff, another weapon or even their pet Cons: low damage, lack of utility/boons for the group. Ranger: A solid profession in PvE. Pros: Nature spirits, Spotter, boons output. Cons: Average damage. Revenant: A solid support in PvE. Pros: Alacrity, Provide "high" life leeching to the group. Cons: lack of flexibility due to legend skillsets, average damage at best. Ranger is good in the beginning for a pet as it will help with tanking. Necromancer curses are also a decent secondary as they pair well with mesmer skills. If i'm being honest about best, the mesmer by itself is all you would ever need to clear everything. 4. Bonkey_Kong87. The original tagging build when Silverwastes were released. Still works great. Also can use the mortar to tag large groups of enemies far away. Mirage (Mesmer): Greatsword Farmer. Uses the insanely long range and low cooldown Greatsword beam of the Mesmer. Also usually works targetet using the Action cam. I don't really recommend choosing to play a cleanse support or Firebrand in your position, only good if you get organised and join a guild group. Another good option is dps Scrapper which is very easily to play, just use shredder/blast gyros and spam flamethrower 1 when melee pushing with a group or use mortar kit for ranged. Players cannot choose Assassin, Dervish, Paragon, nor Ritualist, as primary or secondary profession. There are 6 to 8 skills available per profession (see List of Ascalon (pre-Searing) skills ), in addition to the Resurrection Signet. The only skill trainer Halbrik teaches only the skills from the local skill quests. Franz Mesmer was a German physician whose ideas led to the development of hypnosis. The icon used to represent Mesmers is similar to the Hamsa, an ancient symbol found in amulets throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Mesmer is the only core profession that is not represented by one of the core NPCs ( Aidan, Cynn, Devona, Eve, and Mhenlo ). Eventually, if you get bored with Fire, you can move on to Water magic for crowd control and anti-melee, lightning damage for high single target damage, or earth for ridiculous amounts of defense, KD's, and armor ignoring damage. The best thing you can do in this game in regards to getting better is fiddling around with as many builds as possible. .
